N. Ram, chairman of Bharat.One Group Publishing Non-public Restricted, has been chosen because the excellent mediaperson in a nationwide award instituted by Kerala Media Academy.
The award carrying a money prize of ₹1 lakh, quotation and sculpture was introduced as a part of the academy’s 40th anniversary celebration.
The award was instituted for fearless and sensible journalistic work at a nationwide degree, stated academy chairman R.S. Babu. It is going to be introduced by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in March at a media convention.
Mr. Ram was chosen after reviewing 40 years of his contributions within the area, in accordance with jury members.
Former Training and Tradition Minister M.A. Child, senior journalist Thomas Jacob, Public Training Secretary A. Shajahan, media critic Sebastian Paul, Asianet Editor M.G. Radhakrishnan and Planning Board member Mridul Eappen comprised the jury.
Mr. Ram’s contribution in bringing out corruption in numerous authorities offers involving the Bofors weapons, Rafale plane and his dedication for the independence of the media had been extremely noteworthy, the jury said.
The award was introduced at a press meet by the academy. Secretary of the academy Chandrahasan Vaduthala participated.
