Seasoned diplomat Jawed Ashraf was on February 26 appointed India’s subsequent Ambassador to France. Ashraf, a 1991-batch Indian International Service officer, is presently serving as Indian Excessive Commissioner to Singapore.
“He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the Ministry of Exterior Affairs stated.
Ashraf succeeds Vinay Mohan Kwatra as India’s Ambassador to France, thought of an important posting in view of rising strategic ties between the 2 nations.
Kwatra has been appointed India’s Ambassador to Nepal.
